Life can be hard and it’s ok to seek support to get you through difficult times. As a trauma-sensitive psychotherapeutic counsellor I work collaboratively with you to gently navigate away from overwhelm and into calmer waters.
My in training pluralistic counselling means we can choose from a range of therapeutic approaches including Person-Centred Therapy, Internal-Family-Systems Therapy, Mindfulness-Based-Cognitive-Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, and Gestalt Therapy. My background in mindfulness, somatic practice and hypnotherapy invites a holistic way of working in helping to bring mind, body, emotions, and nervous system into more balance and stability.
People come to therapy for all sorts of different reasons including traumatic events and experiences, depression and anxiety, relationship breakdowns, bereavement and other life changing events. Sometimes we need a space to offload and untangle the complexity of life, a space to discover who we are and what we want, a space to be truly listened to without judgement or opinion.
Sessions are tailored to suit what you need and work towards the goals of your choosing in a way that feels best for you. Talking through the past can be super-helpful, exploring childhood and pivotal relationships, allowing you to delve deep and recover hidden parts. It can be equally helpful to stay in the present moment, tuning into the here-and-now, discovering your everyday patterns of thought and behaviour. Whichever way we work you will likely learn more about yourself and get to know and appreciate some hidden parts, developing greater self awareness, and make any tweaks and changes you feel you need.
It’s important to find the right person to work with, the therapeutic relationship is key, so please get in touch for your committment-free taster session to see if you want to dive in with me.
